Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg is the main international airport serving Berlin, Germany and its surrounding metropolitan region. Located just south of Berlin in the state of Brandenburg, the airport opened in 2012 and has since become a key hub for passengers travelling to and from the German capital. With over 30 million passengers traveling through the airport in 2019, it is the fifth busiest airport in Germany and the twelfth busiest in Europe.
