Luke Air Force Base
Luke Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located in Arizona. It is situated in the Maricopa County, near the city of Glendale. The base is primarily used for fighter aircraft operations and training. Luke AFB is the largest fighter training base in the world, which is why it's often referred to as the "Home of the Fighter Pilot". It is home to the 56th Fighter Wing, the largest wing in the Air Force. Apart from the 56th, the base is also home to the 944th Fighter Wing, the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group and the 607th Air Control Squadron. With its long history of training pilots, Luke Air Force Base has been a critical component of the United State's defense in times of war and peace.
